A French Bracelet of Modern Simplicity

The jewelry by this artist begins witha sketch. An engineer turned art student, turned jewelry and designer, he fills his bound notebooks, with designs and ideas that are never out of his reach. A self confessed obsessive perfectionist and an avid traveler, this artist started experimenting with jewelry while still in art school. By 1985, at age 20, this artist was showing designs in high end stores in New York City. Very early on, fashion designers such as Yves Saint Laurent and others began to ask him to design jewelry for them. He uses hand wrought metal and 24 carat gold which gives his pieces the feel of ancient civilizations with a modern graphic simplicity.
